Another team with unfinished business on the river. The 2018 race saw Team Savage capsize which prematurely ended their race – current racers take note, the high rivers this year mean the risk of capsize is significantly higher.
There are not many paddle races in Canada that this team have not completed. Coming from a traditional Cree upbringing, with a life spent hunting, harvest food, picking barriers for winter months, cooking wild game, and making shelters – just about the perfect mix of experience for the race.
