Well, we don’t know a lot about this father and son duo, but we do know who we would want to be close to if we got in to strife on the river. Both have a significant amount of experience in surf lifesaving in their home country of Australia and abroad and a paramedics degree under their belt.
They have paddled the Bass Straight together to raise funds for drowning awareness – there won’t be any room for VB (Victoria Bitter, classic Australian beer) in the boats this time around with the Yukon coming in at over 5x this distance!)
Looking forward to some banter between the Aussie and Kiwi contingents.
