The only French team on the race, these two are going to attempt the mighty Yukon on Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP). 2018 was the first Yukon 1000 race to ever accept SUPs – this class is still proving its place on the race and has much support from the SUP community. Maximum respect for these paddlers and the additional challenges competing on a SUP brings to the race.
Both friends have a vast amount of experience on European rivers and racing in Kayak and SUP events. Samuel is a Kayak instructor and coach, partnered with Nicolas who has spent 5 years on the French Kayak team and 10 years on a SUP. We’re looking forward to seeing how they stack up against the champs from 2018.
