2021 Yukon 1000 Race delayed due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

While our team had continued preparations for the 2021 Yukon 1000 Race, we regret to inform our community and supporters that the Yukon 1000 race will not take place in July 2021.

After continually evaluating the status of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting restrictions in place, there is simply not enough clarity on the global travel, vaccination progress and medical risk to allow us to safely deliver this race.

The team will now focus on delivering the race in July 2022. Current racers have been given the option to defer to 2022 or withdraw from the race – should there be space for 2022 for the race we will open registrations in May.

We share the disappointment with our racers – who have been training hard and preparing for the toughest survival and paddle race in the world.   The river isn’t going anywhere and we’re looking forward to seeing some record-beating times in 2022.

Make sure you register on our database to receive updates on 2022 availability if you have the Yukon 1000 in your sights.
